此次回巢TVB后担任无线制作部总监的刘家豪正着手明年开拍的《溏心风暴3》。至于剧集背景，前两辑分别以海味铺和饼铺为主题，《溏心3》会更加贴地，以茶餐厅为背景，故事由夏雨开茶餐厅暴发开始。
讲述原家里蹲的50岁男性成为中学不上学教室的兼职讲师，一边为学校所面临的问题苦战，一边“迈出一步”的人们的故事，是一部充满力量、充满新感觉的校园剧。佐藤饰演从38岁开始持续11年家里蹲生活、3年前终于从居室逃出的上岛阳平。
