By sending a large number of attack messages with forged source addresses to the ports where the network service is located, it may cause the half-open connection queue in the target server to be full, thus preventing other legitimate users from accessing. This kind of attack was discovered as early as 1996, but it still shows great vitality. Many operating systems, even firewalls and routers, cannot effectively defend against this kind of attack, and it is very difficult to trace it because it can easily forge the source address. Its packet characteristics are usually that the source sends a large number of SYN packets and lacks the last handshake ACK reply of the three handshakes.
