讲述了泰国一个热爱天文学的女孩萨卡伊非常喜爱姨母创作的漫画《平行世界》中的男主角厚琦，一次偶然机会使萨卡伊得到了一本神奇的书，在生日当天，萨卡伊在书中写下希望能遇到厚琦的愿望，谁知厚琦与漫画中的人物戴罗、诺娜竟然真的一起出现在现实生活中。在打斗中，诺娜被戴罗劫走，萨卡伊将厚琦带回家中。面对现实社会，厚琦十分迷茫，并开始产生人才会有的情绪和特征，萨卡伊耐心向厚琦解释各种问题，教会厚琦适应作为普通人的生活，并承诺一定会将厚琦带回漫画世界，两人在相处中渐生情愫。诺娜发现厚琦不再喜欢自己后，开始学着与戴罗相处，发现戴罗也有善良的一面，逐渐爱上戴罗。众人发现如果不尽快回到漫画世界，所有漫画人物都将在月圆之夜死去。这时，漫画中的邪恶人物庞球也来到现实中，在与庞球的斗争中，戴罗和诺娜不幸牺牲，而庞球也毁掉了可以将厚琦送回漫画世界的书。厚琦在现实生活中的最后一天，与心爱的萨卡伊一起度过，并希望萨卡伊能微笑生活。三年后，萨卡伊成为一名优秀的天文学家。
