《天龙号醒来》系列大电影共分五部，分别是《唤醒天龙》、《异能陷阱》、《黑暗七日》、《流星瀑布》、《返航迷途》。 系列电影的整体背景讲述了天龙星座一号飞船，被敌人击沉于地球海底火山口三百年后，突然被黑洞能量唤醒，寻找失落在地球上的后裔的故事。故事主线则是讲述五个天龙人，如何三百年间在地球生存，如何与敌对星球人作战，拯救地球爆炸危机，帮助飞船重返故乡的惊心动魄的过程。整个故事在大悲剧的框架下，充满了爆笑的喜剧色彩，既有尖锐的人性化揭示，又有悲伤和感动的大人文情怀。 “天龙号醒来”系列电影的第一部。魔术师章渔（曲吉让步饰），作为天龙使者，在地球上经历过五次死亡，一直等待天龙黑洞爆发给予启示，从而找到五个助手，集齐六人能量，获取到飞船的确切位置，把一号飞船唤醒并离开海底。当章渔分别找到替身演员成红（吕晶饰）、流浪艺人疯马（张德翰夫饰）、流氓商人肖红袖（许小行饰）、三流作家张衣衣（赵明川饰）之后，误把恋人花店女邱琳（赵伲僮饰）激活，当成了第五个助手。事实上，邱琳是敌对星球留下的后裔，目的正是消灭天龙座α星的使者章渔。章渔一错再错，六人聚合能量之后，一号飞船猝然离开火山口，引发了地球爆炸危机，章渔也将死于恋人之手。
本片通过小女孩妞妞被蒋三犯罪集团成员宝仔和黑妹顺手牵羊拐走的故事讲起，描述了妞妈和妞爸千里寻女的坎坷经历，那给警察高峰撕心裂肺的一跪，那和城管近乎崩溃的撕扯……同时另一条线也歌颂了警察高峰深入一线、临危不惧的打拐英雄形象，他和犯罪分子蒋三10年前的恩怨也演变成了复仇的烈火，故事最后蒋三居然绑架了高峰的儿子高小强，还恐吓小强说给他身体里安了芯片，随时都有爆炸的危险……
