国家地理迷你剧《The Long Road Home》是根据Martha Raddatz所著的畅销书改篇，背景在伊拉克战争，讲述在2004年4月4日一支由德州胡德堡而来的美国陆军第1骑兵师，在巴格达萨德尔城里遭到猛烈伏击，并造成8人 阵亡的「黑色星期日/Black Sunday」军事事件。这剧会聚焦在身陷现场的士兵，以及于德州等待了48小时消息，甚至已有最坏打算的家人。
